Plant.as Privacy policy

Plant.as does not collect or store any potentially-identifying information other than a user's language and timezone location, unless that information is entered by a user in either a message, its optional notification email address or its optional nickname. All potentially-identifying data is stored in encrypted form on our servers in Germany. Plant.as only decrypts this information during the normal automated operation of its website/app, or in response to either permission from a verified operator of that message or an enforced government order. Browser connections and email transfers are also encrypted (where supported). All potentially-identifying data of a text is permanently deleted when either its "Delete Now" button is pressed and confirmed, or three months after the creation of that message.

We do not use the email addresses we obtain to deliver notification emails for a message for any other purpose.

Other than user-designated message recipients, plant.as does not share any non-statistical information with third-parties. It hosts no advertising nor any third-party cookies.

Plant.as uses first-party cookies to help provide its service, including a cookie that identifies the last message accessed by a browser or device. Through this cookie, or through use of a browser's History function, any user of that browser or device will be able to view and control such messages without further authentication. To prevent unwanted access, either secure the browser/device or remove plant.as cookies and browser history entries.

The reCAPTCHA anti-fraud service is employed in its standard way. reCAPTCHA's privacy policy is Google's privacy policy.

Plant.as premium payments are processed by Stripe. Plant.as does not have access to any card details entered for a premium payment.
